For anything that is available now, my last holiday order date is 17th December, 2024 (inclusive).
If you have placed an order with me, or planning to, do consider selecting picking up from my Edinburgh Studio so you could receive the item quicker, and it would be a lovely chance to see where your willow items are made.
If you are able to collect from my workshop in Edinburgh, postage is free and you will be welcome to have a wee look at the workshop, all the beautifully coloured willow, and the basketmaking set up. Postage is available (approx £8 -£15) for all items, except Pea Cones, to the UK. Please contact me for international orders.
The studio is open by appointment for people to come and visit if you would like to look at a basket before buying, or to pick up orders. There are usually a few things to choose from that will not have made it onto the webshop too. Directions and contact details here
The majority of my baskets are made to order. Lead time for delivery is approximately eight weeks (though two weeks for pea cones and small items). I try to have the most popular baskets in stock so if you have a specific deadline please contact me and I’ll see what I can do.
My willow is grown for colour, slenderness, stoutness, elasticity and length. It differs in colour of bark and behaviour when weaving. Some rods are better for the stakes, some for the weavers. As I am working with the willow that I have grown I may have to match different varieties depending on what is available and how the crop has grown that year. If you are after a particular colour scheme, please let me know. In any event I will do my best to make it similar to the baskets as photographed, but please allow for plenty of natural variation.
To find my smaller items in stock such as keyrings, earrings, bangles, rattles, star wands, fish and more please click on the pictures or follow this link to my Etsy shop and my Folksy shop.
